How many tests are performed in Eure-et-Loir?
Since mid-November, the number of weekly tests (RT-PCR, antigens and saliva) carried out in the department has doubled, leading to overheating in pharmacies and Eurelian biomediacal analysis laboratories.

Where to get tested in Eure-et-Loir?
Finding an appointment to be tested is becoming more and more complicated in the department due to the high demand. The ARS Center-Val de Loire advises the inhabitants concerned to go to the government site sante.fr.
This portal “lists all the possible screening locations and reception methods”, explains Christophe Lugnot, communications manager at ARS Center-Val de Loire. Appointments are systematically requested in advance, either by phone or via the Doctolib site.

According to sante.fr, thirteen screening sites perform RT-PCR tests in Eure-et-Loir. These are mainly analysis laboratories, located in Auneau-Bleury-Saint-Symphorien, Chartres, Dreux, Epernon, Louillard, Le Coudray, Maintenon, Nogent-le-Roi, Nogent-le-Rotrou and Senonches. RT-PCR tests are also offered at the Covid center in Châteaudun (rue de la Madeleine), at the Dreux hospital and at the Chartres hospital.

The offer is greater for antigenic tests. The government portal lists 224 screening places carrying out these tests, which provide a rapid result (around 15 to 30 minutes). Many pharmacists offer this service, but also laboratories, nurses and some physiotherapists and dentists.
Only four screening sites perform saliva tests, in Eure-et-Loir, according to sante.fr: three laboratories (in Chartres, Dreux and Coudray) and a nurse (in Bonneval).
What type of test should be preferred?
“If you have symptoms of Covid, your best bet is to have an RT-PCR test. If you can’t find an appointment in a laboratory, you can perform an antigen test, ”advises Christophe Lugnot. The self-tests, on sale in pharmacies and supermarkets, must be used after contact with a positive person, on D + 2 and D + 4, according to the ARS.
“The time to be tested in a pharmacy or in a laboratory is getting longer,” observes Denis Gelez.

“While waiting for the day of the appointment, symptomatic people can do a self-test. If it is positive, they must isolate themselves until the confirmation appointment, ”explains Denis Gelez.
What solutions are proposed to offer more niches? The Territorial Professional Health Community (CPTS) of the Pays Drouais, in connection with the municipality of Vernouillet, has opened a Covid screening center, in the Vernouillet multipurpose room, rue de Torçay, since Monday.
Antigenic and RT-PCR tests are carried out without an appointment in this center, open Monday to Saturday, from 1 to 4 p.m. “Other solutions are being studied to open other screening centers in the department”, announces Denis Gelez.
