The students were pinched together in a room at the Westin Hotel in Boston on Wednesday. This hotel supports 800 students from the institution in order to allow physical distancing in the dormitories of the university.

Under the special regulation on the novel coronavirus, tuition fees are non-refundable.

The Northeastern carried out a screening campaign during the week to prevent an outbreak. Out of more than 36,000 checks, 20 tested positive for COVID-19. Students were also required to sign a party ban policy on and off campus.

Charlie Barker, Governor of Massachusetts, asks students to stay away from parties.

“People need to understand that this is exactly what COVID wants more than anything else: familiarization, close contact, hugs, songs or even joy to a point,” Governor Barker said. .
