An average lethality of 1% is the one that is had in Guanajuato with respect to the consequences that the Covid-19 implies for the inhabitants of the state.
“There are cases. We continue to do tests and in times of the greatest crisis, we have a 20% lethality. Currently, that index is around 1%”, highlighted the Secretary of State Health, Daniel Díaz.
He shared that any death is unfortunate and that prevention is best, but that coronavirus cases are no longer necessarily a death sentence.
Regarding influenza, which he classified as an endemic disease, he said that it still exists, only that in previous years Covid occupied that space.
“We have a thousand cases of influenza with 9 unfortunate deaths, generally of older adults. We have had very few cases, perhaps about 100 throughout the state, in which Covid coincides with influenza, but the patients have recovered well, ”he commented.
He said that the contrasting climates that are felt between morning and noon cause various kinds of broncho-respiratory conditions, but that these are average figures that are repeated every year on these dates.
