Confirmed cases of Covid-19 doubled last week in the State, but the most significant and worrying thing is that almost all of them ended with those infected in the hospital due to the damage caused by the germs on people’s health.
On this occasion, 12 confirmed positive cases and 11 people hospitalized were reported, which highlights the level of danger of the virus attacks that continue to do their thing, especially to the detriment of people with risk factors, such as lack of vaccination and incurable diseases such as diabetes, asthma, chronic kidney failure, among others.
Fortunately, no deaths from Covid-19 have been reported so far, unlike the previous week when two deaths were confirmed related to this viral disease that has no pause due to the circulation of the fearsome viruses.
IMPORTANT RECOVERY
According to the official report from the State Health Secretariat, in week 33, which runs from August 11 to 17, 12 positive cases of coronavirus were confirmed, when the previous week the figure was only 5 and the two weeks before this one the weekly balance was only 10 cases, which means that last week’s total was the highest in the last three months.
The last time that 12 positive cases of Covid-19 were reported in Aguascalientes was in the epidemiological week, and it is only now, in week 33, that the curve has reached the same level of infections again, although doctors say that there may be more cases that, for various reasons, are not reported in the statistics.
DANGEROUS ATTACKS
The current attacks, which may be due to the new strains that are emerging, are even more dangerous than those reported during the pandemic, since 11 of the 12 positive cases required hospital care due to health complications in those affected by the virus.
What is striking is the level to which the number of people hospitalized due to the attacks of the Covid-19 virus has skyrocketed in the last week, since 11 cases have been reported, when the previous week only one of the infected people required hospital care.
In fact, official records show that the number of hospitalized patients at the end of the previous week is the highest in at least the last 12 weeks, since in that period the highest number of hospitalized patients per week reached just 5.
