Venezuela registers 75 new cases of COVID-19 and two deaths in the last 24 hours
The Venezuelan authorities have counted 75 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, so the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic has reached 519.872as detailed by the Minister of Communication, Freddy Ñáñez.
“738 days after the pandemic in Venezuela, we report that during the last 24 hours the country registered 75 new infections, all by community transmission”said Ñáñez.
In this way, Venezuela reached a total of 519,872 cases confirmed by the authorities since the start of the pandemic, of which 2,396 are active and 511,803 are recovered people, which represents 98% of the total.
The minister has also indicated that, of the active cases, there are 1,826 patients in the Caribbean country who are asymptomatic, 217 with mild acute respiratory failure, 272 with moderate acute respiratory failure and 81 in the intensive care unit.
On the other hand, Ñáñez has reported the death of two people due to COVID-19with which the number of deaths from the disease has reached 5.673.
