Sergas administers 318 antiviral treatments against COVID
The Galician Health Service has dispensed a total of 318 antiviral treatments against COVID-19, ‘Paxlovid’ y ‘Evusheld’ users of Galician health centers, since Galicia received the first consignment of these medicines on March 28.
The Health Consellería has detailed that, by sanitary areas, in A Coruña and Cee have been dispensed 60 treatments; in the of Vigo, 58; in the of Santiago and Barbanza, 29; in the of Ferrol, 24; in the of Lugo, A Mariña and Monforte de Lemos, 80; in the of Pontevedra and O Salnes, 14; and in the health area Ourense, Verín and O Barco de Valdeorras, 53 treatments.
Both drugs have been added at the beginning of April to vaccines and other medications to prevent positive patients with certain conditions from being able to progress to a serious condition of the illness.
