Covid, in Cuba 6,460 infections and 65 deaths in one day

In the last 24 hours, 6,460 new coronavirus infections and 65 deaths have been recorded in Cuba. Overall, 269,546 cases and 1,791 deaths have been recorded since the beginning of the pandemic. The western province of Matanzas, which remains the epicenter of the pandemic on the island, recorded 1,888 new infections on the last day, followed by Havana with 763 and Ciego de Avila with 620. Meanwhile, Cuba is leading a campaign of mass vaccination against Covid-19, with the aim of immunizing around 80% of the population by the end of August.
