Covid. Discovery of an open gym despite the bans imposed by the government. Sanctioned owner and customers. – the Nisseno fact

COVID-19 EMERGENCY. DISCOVER AN OPEN GYM DESPITE THE PROHIBITIONS IMPOSED BY THE GOVERNMENT. SANCTIONED THE OWNER AND THE CUSTOMERS.

The controls of the Enna Fiamme Gialle continue unceasingly in order to ensure compliance with the rules imposed for the containment of the health emergency linked to the spread of Covid-19.

The Financiers of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Enna, during the daily economic-financial control services of the territory, have identified a gym in the Municipality of Piazza Armerina open to the public despite the prohibition imposed by the regulations, which still provide for the suspension, among others, the activities of gyms, swimming pools and wellness centers in order to limit the contagion among citizens.

During the service, the soldiers of the Tenenza di Piazza Armerina ascertained that the gym in question, although apparently closed, in fact continued to allow customers to train normally inside. What made the financiers of the “city of mosaics” suspicious was the constant presence, outside the building, of several parked cars which, however, alternated throughout the day.

A brief stalking near the gym, followed by the decision to intervene inside the premises to carry out a check, allowed the military to find the owner there, in the role of personal trainer, and some customers intent on training using the equipment made available by the structure.

An administrative fine ranging from 400 to 1,000 euros was applied to the owner and the two sportsmen caught in the act, which, if paid within sixty days, allows the application of the minimum amount (equal to 400 euros). For the owner of the gym, in addition, the Prefect has been reported for the application of the accessory sanction of the closure of the activity for a period of 5 to 30 days, which will be effective at the end of the restrictive measures currently in force for the pandemic .
