But yesterday the mayor of Cecina, Samuel Lippi, has risen on the barricades, because the increasingly well-founded fear is that the hospital, together with the Covid transformation, will suffer a sharp reduction in other activities.

We are witnessing a conversion of specialists into Covid activities: medicine is being reduced to about twenty places, it is moving to rehabilitation that risks closing, and where do patients go? Doctors and nurses are the same as those who worked in the “normal” wards and the number of beds remains unchanged, therefore we are witnessing an emptying of activities.
