According to the health department, all relevant numbers have stabilized at a low level. Today, Wednesday, 118 new cases of Covid 19 were registered in Darmstadt. The local incidence was 239.9.
According to the Darmstadt Clinic, the situation in hospitals remains tense. There are no patients with Covid-19 in the normal and intensive care units in Klinikum Darmstadt 57 (11), Elisabethenstift 31 (0), Alice Hospital 6 (0) and in children’s clinics.
“The number of cases initially indicates a sustained relaxation. The situation in kindergartens and schools, retirement homes and care facilities and refugee accommodation is also calm,” said the head of the crisis team, Mayor Jochen Partsch. “At the same time, the clinics they are still very busy. In addition, many employees are ill. The situation is particularly critical in the area of pediatric emergency care, for which the Association of Health Insurance Physicians (KV) is responsible. The queues in the children’s hospital are simply unacceptable We will therefore intensify the discussion with the KV again in order to make an improvement as quickly as possible,” says Partsch.
