Coronavirus cases in Germany have almost doubled in the last 24 hours. According to the Robert Koch Institute, 1,378 new infections and two victims were recorded compared to 782 cases the previous day, when no deaths were recorded. Thus the total number of infections in Germany rises to 248,997 and that of deaths to 9,324.
India – New record of infections in India, where in the last 24 hours more than 86 thousand new cases of coronavirus and over a thousand deaths from complications related to the infection have been confirmed. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of New Delhi, thus updating the total number of infected people to 4,023,179 and that of victims to 69,561, 1,089 more than yesterday. India thus becomes the third country in the world, after the United States and Brazil, to exceed the 4 million deaths caused by Covid-19. The Indian state most affected is Maharashtra, with 25,964 victims, followed by Tamil Nadu with 7,687 deaths. According to local health authorities, the rate of healed is 77.23 percent, or 3.1 million people.
Russia – In the last 24 hours, 5,205 new cases of coronavirus and 110 victims have been recorded in Russia, thus updating the total number of infected people to 1,020,310 and that of deaths attributable to the infection to 17,759. This was announced by the task force created by Moscow to combat the pandemic in a note relaunched by the Sputnik news agency, underlining that among the new cases ” 1,249 are asymptomatic ”. Most of the new cases, 671, were registered in Moscow, followed by St. Petersburg with 195 new positives.
