Florence, January 10, 2021 – Sono 472 the new cases of coronavirus registered in the last 24 hours on Sunday 10 January. New cases are 0.4% more than the previous day’s total.

The contagion map

There are 34,831 total cases to date in Florence (160 more than yesterday), 10,707 in Prato (31 more), 10,686 in Pistoia (38 more), 7,861 in Massa (16 more), 13,038 in Lucca (38 more), 17,240 in Pisa (45 more), 9,224 in Livorno (39 more), 11,177 in Arezzo (84 more), 5,334 in Siena (15 more), 4,298 in Grosseto (6 more). 555 positive cases were reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions.

The average age of the newly infected

The average age of 472 cases today is around 49 years (10% are under 20, 23% between 20 and 39, 35% between 40 and 59, 20% between 60 and 79, 12% are 80 or older).

Fifteen deaths

Unfortunately, today there are 15 new deaths: 7 men and 8 women with an average age of 84.7 years.

The hospitalizations

There are 909 hospitalized (22 fewer than yesterday), of which 140 in intensive care (1 more).

I healed in one day

The total number of people healed are 111,995 (461 more than yesterday, plus 0.4%): 493 people clinically healed (23 more than yesterday, plus 4.9%), that is, who became asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with infection and 111,502 (438 more than yesterday, plus 0.4%) declared healed in all respects, the so-called viral healings, with negative swab.

The processed swabs

Swabs performed reached 1,965,493, 9,469 more than yesterday, of which 5% positive. On the other hand, 4,119 subjects tested today (excluding the control swabs), of which 11.5% were positive. To these are added the 1,728 rapid antigenic swabs performed today.
