Milan, 23 November 2020 – We have entered the key week, the one in which Lombardy could be “promoted” in the orange zone, and thus obtain a relaxation of the anti Covid measures. There are four days left before the fateful Friday 27 November, the date on which the government could decree theexit from the red zone of the region most affected by the pandemic. But the prevailing bias is for caution: closing until December 3 and subsequent easing in one or two steps. It is indeed possible that for the holiday season go towards two Dpcm – O towards a two-stage Dpcm – the the first valid from 3 to 23 December, the second until 6-15 January. Meanwhile, the spotlight is on the contagion data, which today are recorded 5,289 new cases compared to 32,862 swabs (yesterday it was 5,094 with 29,800 pads). The positive / swab ratio continues to drop, today at 16%, against 17% yesterday and 19.9% on Saturday. And also i deaths: today 140 against 165 in the previous 24 hours (for a total of 20,664 dead since the beginning of the emergency). For the first time, the number of patients hospitalized in intensive care: – 4, for a total of 945 places occupied in resuscitation. Also i admissions to other wards: -60 (a total of 8,331).
The data of the provinces
The second wave continues to hit hard in the macro-area of Milan, Monza, Como and Varese, where over 70% of today’s 5,289 infections are recorded. Milano remains the Lombard province with the highest number of new cases in the last 24 hours. In the metropolitan area there are 1,604 positives, of which 576 in the capital. It follows Varese with 848 new cases, How it counts a few less: 842, while a Monza and Brianza are 749. With a detachment of several there is Brescia, which today marks 405 infections. Numbers more contained in the provinces of Lecco (+184), Bergamo (+165), Lodi (+138), Pavia (+85), Mantua (57). Last Sondrio with just 33 new cases.
Coronavirus: over 50 thousand deaths in Italy
Over 50 thousand today deaths from Covid in Italy: exactly 50,453 have died since the beginning of the pandemic. A figure reached, after a substantial stability of around 35 thousand deaths that lasted all summer (from 1 July to 22 September it went from 34,788 deaths to 35,738), in just 60 days: from 22 September to yesterday, over 14 thousand died from Covid-19. To have a term of comparison, the number of deaths in these two months is almost equivalent to the total deaths from road accidents in Italy in the last 4 years; it is 50 times higher than the victims of terrorism in Italy from 1978 to today; the overall figure since the beginning of the infection is close to the number of US soldiers who died in the Vietnam war (58 thousand). As in the first phase of the pandemic, the question is when the curve of infections and deaths will reach the maximum, and then begin the descent. For some experts, the decline will be slower than the increase in recent weeks. The region with the largest number of new cases remains there Lombardy with 5,289, followed by Veneto (2.540), Emilia Romagna (2.347) e Lazio (2,341). The Regions with the lowest increase in infections are Basilicata (58), Valle d’Aosta (77) e Molise (91).
Covid Refreshments: Lombardy starts with transport and shops
It has been operational since this morning the measure “YES! Lombardy”, which provides for a stationing of 40.5 million euros for micro-enterprises (those with a maximum of 10 employees and a turnover of no more than 2 million euros) as well as another 14 million for workers with a VAT number. Money with which they will finance one-off contributions between one thousand and two thousand euros. Practically i can ask economic contributions made available by the Region, those categories and those professional figures that have been penalized by restrictionsi provided for in the latest regional ordinance for the containment of Coronavirus infections, dating back to last October 22, and which cannot benefit from the refreshments provided by the Government. For the micro-enterprises the request opens today and will remain open until Friday 27 November, with different days and times according to the Ateco codes. While for the VAT numbers, the question window will be from 11 to 15 January. In both cases there is only one way to get the contribution: the internet. The assignment procedure is that of the click-day. To apply, you need to have an internet profile on the Region’s internet platform and to create it you need to use the Spid or the National Service Card (the one with the tax code) or a digital signature.
The first hotspot makes its debut in Pioltello. But it is controversy
Meanwhile, from Wednesday it will be active in Pioltello the first hotspot municipal, which will guarantee tampons for the next three months to those arriving by car in the parking lot of the health center. After the influenza vaccinations in the three civic centers performed by general practitioners, the Municipality continues battle against Covid, this time however a payment. The Municipality has set up a temporary structure in via San Francesco for triage and has entered into an agreement with the Italian Auxological Institute on favorable terms for residents. But it is controversy about costs of the service: the discounted price for residents will be 80 euros, against an average cost of the service which in Lombardy varies between 80 and 120 euros.
