The list of politicians is getting longer by the hour who have applied for the € 600 Covid bonus. Nationally, the “suspected” names are those of the Northern League deputies Andrea Dara, 41-year-old textile entrepreneur, and of Elena Murelli, a 45-year-old teacher. The two parliamentarians were suspended from the party, as announced by the group leader Riccardo Molinari: “After having listened to and verified their respective positions, the suspension provision for deputies Elena Murelli and Andrea Dara is confirmed”. In addition to them, efforts are being made to find out who the other three deputies are: for now, only the groups they belong to (Lega, M5S and Iv) are known and on Friday the president of INPS Pasquale Tridico will be heard in the Labor Commission in the Chamber on the case (here all the updates).
However, the “bonusgate” has also expanded locally in the past few hours. In Molise the case of the first mayor of the capital, Campobasso, or 5Stelle, appears Roberto Gravina, who declared that he had donated the money received from INPS to the Municipality fund. Also another mayor, the Northern League Juri Imeri, mayor of Treviglio (Bg) is the recipient of the bonus. In Florence there is the case of Ubaldo Bocci, coordinator of the center-right who a year ago challenged the mayor Nardella, who resigned from his role following the affair.

The names among regional administrators are also increasing, which are justified in various ways. The last is that of Stefano Bargi, Northern League councilor in Emilia Romagna. In Veneto in addition to the vice president of the RegionGianluca Forcolin (Lega), there are two other councilors and party colleagues: Riccardo Barbisan e Alessandro Montagnoli. In Piedmont there is the case of the Northern League councilor Matteo Gagliasso and his colleague from the Democratic Party Diego Sarno (who has self-suspended). Also Moreno Pieroni, Marche regional councilor for tourism, admitted to having received the bonus. In Trentino the Northern League was suspended from the party Ivano Job. In Friuli Venezia Giulia, on the other hand, there is the case of the Forza Italia director Franco Mattiussi, which was referred to the party’s arbitrators.
