The Ministry of Health released the covid report this Sunday and the numbers continue to increase. 5,374 new cases were registered, surpassing the 5,000 barrier for the fourth consecutive day. Of the newly infected 3,911 are symptomatic, 1,493 are asymptomatic and 330 are unreported.
At the moment there are 891,110 total cases, 33,290 are active, 835,669 are recovered and 100 deaths were registered in the last day, which totals 21,674 deaths so far in the pandemic. Four regions decreased their cases in the last seven days and five in the last 14 days.
Regarding the data provided by Red Asistencial, there are 2,015 hospitalized of which 1,739 are on mechanical ventilation. At the moment 192 critical beds are available.
Regarding the PCR tests carried out, in the last day 68,151 tests were carried out, totaling 10,120,265 in total. At the country level, there is 8.23% positivity in PCR tests and in the Metropolitan Region the percentage reaches 7%.
Regarding health residences, there are 12,785 places available in 175 centers. At the moment, 6,874 patients are registered in these residences.
