He Ministry of Health reported that in the last 24 hours, 1,942 new infections, which gives a total of 397,665 cases since the start of the pandemic.
Of the total of new infections, 1,315 cases presented symptoms, 554 cases were asymptomatic, and 73 cases were not reported.
Likewise, the health authority pointed out that there were 60 deceased people, with which the total reached 10,852 deaths.
The Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, also confirmed a new record number of PCR testing, reaching the 31,981 exams performed in the last 24 hours, with a positivity rate of 6.07 percent.
Meanwhile, the Undersecretary of Assistance Networks, Arturo Zúñiga, ireported that there are 1,027 people hospitalized in the ICU, 149 critically ill patients and 742 patients connected to mechanical ventilation.
The undersecretary also reported that there are 10,392 total seats in 156 health licenses nationwide, in addition to 577 mechanical fans available.
