This new Covid strain is a combination of the Omicron variant and the original virus.
Boston University researchers have announced that they have developed a new strain of the coronavirus in the laboratory, US media reports Fox News. Scientists would have arrived at this result by being able to extract the Spike protein from the variant Omicron and associating it with the strain first detected in Wuhan at the start of the pandemic. They then conducted experiments by contaminating the mice with this hybrid strain.

“Death rate of 80%”
“In mice, while Omicron causes a mild, non-lethal infection, the virus that carries Omicron S [la nouvelle souche hybride] inflicts serious diseases with a mortality rate of 80% “the researchers said. The scientists from Florida and Boston add that contains the new strain five times more infectious viral particles more than the Omicron variant less dangerous than the original strain.
Boston University researchers say they have developed a new COVID strain that has an 80% kill rate following a series of similar experiments that were initially thought to have started the global pandemic that started in China.https://t.co/5ZhL25Rzia
