A study carried out on France, Italy and Germany reveals that the health pass had many positive effects, and would have made it possible to avoid many restrictive measures.
A study looked at the effectiveness of the health pass, which is about to give way to the vaccination pass. It was carried out by the Economic Analysis Council (CAE), a structure linked to Matignon.
The study reveals that without this measure, the vaccination rate would point to 65.2%, or about fourteen points less than the current rate. In Germany, the rate “would have been 67.3%, against 73.5% observed, and in Italy 70.4%, against 80.1% observed”, continues the CAE.
4,000 deaths avoided
This data allows the study to establish that 4,000 deaths were avoided by the implementation of the health pass in France. The CAE “uusing available data on the impact of vaccination (distinguishing between first and second doses) on hospital admissions as well as on the number of deaths” caused by Covid.
Similarly, 1,100 deaths would have been avoided in Germany and 1,300 in Italy.
The health pass also had a beneficial effect on the hospital side. According to the study, “theThe cumulative number of hospital admissions at the end of 2021 would have been around 31% higher in France”.
On the same principle, resuscitation has also been relieved by the health pass. “The number of Covid patients in intensive care would have been around 45% higher at the end of 2021 than what has been observed”. Without this difference, the filling of intensive care units “would have resulted in hospital pressure levels reached during previous confinements”.
As the study was therefore carried out in France, Germany and Italy, it is within our country that the health pass would have had the most beneficial effects. He is living his last moments, the vaccination pass coming into effect “probably by the end of the week”, explained the government spokesman.
