Covid-19, yellow, orange and red zone: which regions can change color already on Sunday. What changes for the school

After the small movements of last week, next weekend there could be movements regarding the colors of the risk faces of the Regions.

The data to which reference will be made in the next monitoring expected on Friday 29 January will be those of the week from January 18 to 24. With the addition of an update up to January 27. This means that some movements could already be hypothesized

We know that it is not possible to pass from the red zone to the orange or from the orange to the yellow zone before two weeks, which is the duration of the ordinance of the Ministry of Health.

In the last weekly ISS monitoring, it seems, only two regions would not have improved: Puglia and Umbria still recorded data from the orange zone. Others, if they confirm the Rt data, could pass into the yellow zone: In particular, Liguria, with average Rt (contagion index) below 1 and low overall risk, is among the major candidates to pass into the yellow zone from Sunday, writes Il Sole 24 hours. But also Veneto could hope for the yellow zone.

Sicily and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano could come out of red zone and go in Orange. In fact, the data of the latest report are encouraging, with Rt falling in both cases (especially in Bolzano – below 1), even if the risk level remains high. “Fortunately, the figures are starting to be encouraging, even if the number of victims is still high. I am confident: if the decline were to be constant, we could also revoke the red zone and return to breathe in the orange zone “confirmed the president of the Sicilian Region. Nello Musumeci.

At the moment, only one region seems able to reach the target in the short term, within a month, in the white zone: the Basilicata. In the last week monitored by the control room, the region not only complies with the first two requirements but has had a weekly incidence of 96 cases (against 144 in the previous seven days). And the trend is in continuous decline. It is therefore close to the 50 mark, which it could reach next week.

At the moment, we remind you, the breakdown of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces in the yellow, orange and red areas is as follows, starting from January 24:

yellow area: Campania, Basilicata, Molise, Autonomous Province of Trento, Tuscany;
orange area: Abruzzo, Calabria, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Veneto, Piedmont, Puglia, Sardinia, Umbria, Valle d’Aosta;
area rossa: Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Sicily.

Covid-19, yellow, orange and red zone. Here’s what changes from Sunday 24 January

What changes for the school

With the steps from orange to yellow zone, substantially nothing changes: in both bands the teaching activity is provided in the presence of 100% from kindergarten to first grade secondary school. For upper secondary school, face-to-face teaching is envisaged in a percentage between 50% and 75%. The rest takes place in DaD.

This means, at the same time, that Sicily and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, if they were to pass in the orange zone, they would see the measures for the school of this risk band applied. At the moment, in fact, in the red zone, there is educational activity in presence up to the first grade and from the second grade up to the last grade of high school, the students teach in Dad.
