From February 1, the rules are changing in the face of Covid-19, due to a “favorable epidemic context”, indicate the authorities. End of work stoppages for positive people, end of systematic isolation, what do the people of Reunion think?
•
In Reunion, 1,082 cases of Covid-19 and one death were recorded from January 16 to 22. Over this period, only 3,760 people were screened.
Screening, but also wearing a mask, is no longer a reflex in Reunion, as in France. The work stoppage for positive people will soon no longer be in force. At 1is February, they will not be asked for systematic isolation either.

Covid-19: from February 1, no more isolation of patients or testing of contact cases.
According to a decree published yesterday, Saturday January 28, work stoppages without a waiting day for people who tested positive for Covid-19, and who are unable to continue working, are abolished.
Asymptomatic contact persons will no longer need to carry out a screening test on the 2th day of their contact.
However, it remains strongly recommended for people who test positive for Covid-19 and people who are potentially in contact to respect barrier gestures, to be tested and to avoid contact with fragile people.
The Directorate General of Health indicates in a press release that among the legislative developments, the consent of people tested positive for Cvoid-19 must be necessary to share their personal data in the computer file “SI-DEP”. This “SI-DEP” information system will only be kept in operation until June 30, 2023.
Finally, the Health Insurance “Contact Covid” teleservice, namely the “contact tracing” of patients and contact cases will end on January 31.
Dr. Christine Kowalczyk reminds us that this is not, however, a “simple seasonal virus“, but of a virus”who will go through a period of epidemic which corresponds to periods when people are often together“.
Just because the disease becomes normal does not mean that it becomes less serious.

She recommends that symptomatic people not approach children and people at risk, such as the elderly and sick people.
