The 5th wave and the appearance of the Omicron variant are worrying. In addition, the incidence rate has crossed the threshold of 300 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the Hérault department (308.6), according to figures from the Regional Health Agency published this Friday, November 26.
Appeal to everyone’s vigilance and responsibility
In a press release, Hugues Moutouh, “once again calls for the vigilance and responsibility of everyone. It is more than ever imperative to respect barrier gestures, wearing a mask when necessary, ventilation, social distancing and hand washing to limit contamination“, adds the prefect of Hérault.
Where should we wear the mask in the department?
The measures in force in the department are maintained. Wearing a mask is compulsory, for anyone over 11 years old, in all the municipalities of the department in the following situations:
- in establishments open to the public in the open air not subject to a sanitary pass when the physical distancing measures of 2 meters between two people cannot be respected;
- in markets, flea markets, open-air or covered unpacking sales, Christmas markets;
- in gatherings (including a declared event, festival, street performance, etc.);
- in the queues;
- near stations, airports, ports, bus and tram shelters within a radius of 50 meters;
- near shopping centers, schools, places of worship within a radius of 50 meters;
- in busy streets and pedestrian areas.
Moreover, theWearing a mask becomes compulsory again in all enclosed places to which access is subject to the health pass, announced the Minister of Health Olivier Véran Thursday, November 18.
