COVID-19 vaccines: the City of Buenos Aires will open the registration for children from 3 to 11 years old tomorrow

The Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Fernán Quirós, will announce tomorrow at 9.30 a.m., at a press conference, the opening of the online registration (buenosaires.gob.ar/vacunacovid) for all children from 3 to 11 years old. In this way, as officially reported, immunization against COVID-19 will be enabled for all people 3 years of age and older. In the Federal Capital, the Vaccination Plan today reached 70% of the residents with the complete immunization scheme.

In a press release, it was indicated that in the next few days it will begin with the assignment of shifts via email, WhatsApp and SMS, according to the order of registration. “When the neighbors are contacted, they will be able to select the date, time and place of preference through a personalized link. When attending, the boys must be in the company of a person over 18 years of age ”, it was explained.

Also, the government of the City of Buenos Aires stressed that “once immunization begins, in the selected centers there will be a medical team that will have a pediatric specialist to provide immediate assistance if necessary. As agreed, in the latest edition of the Federal Health Council (COFESA) on October 4, in this instance, Sinopharm vaccines will be used. After receiving the dose, they will remain 15 minutes in observation ”.

Since December 29, 2,425,232 people received the first dose of the Sputnik-V, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, Moderna, CanSino or Pfizer vaccine, that is, 79% of the porteños have already administered at least one dose. Of this total, 2,131,854, representing 70% of the population, completed the immunization with the second component or received CanSino (single dose). Thus, 4,557,086 vaccines have already been applied in the City and registration continues for all people 12 years of age and older and children over 3 years of age with prioritized conditions.

The public vaccination centers were conditioned and are strategically distributed throughout the Buenos Aires territory. They are located in clubs, government buildings and cultural centers and have a team of more than 2,000 people working. Each of these points complies with all the corresponding biosafety measures and is equipped with adequate refrigeration systems for the correct preservation of the vaccines.

An email, a WhatsApp message and a registration confirmation SMS will be sent.

Then you will be contacted by WhatsApp, mail and / or SMS to make the assignment of the shift. The neighbor will be able to select the day, time and vaccination of preference through an online management system.

Step by step of vaccination

– Approach the center on the day and time indicated in the shift.

– Present the DNI in the reception and registration area. Boys from 3 to 11 years old must present themselves together with an adult.

– Wait for the call from the health team to receive the vaccine.

– Once administered, it must remain 15 minutes under observation.

– Once this period has elapsed, the neighbor will be given the corresponding certificate and he / she will be able to return home.

-If applicable, you will be contacted again in order to assign the turn for the application of the second dose.
