COVID-19 Vaccination can already be given to children aged 12-17 years, Mother. The Indonesian Ministry of Health has issued a technical guide on this vaccination according to the recommendations of the National Immunization or the Indonesian Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (ITAGI).
In accordance with the ITAGI reference and approval for the use of the COVID-19 vaccine produced by PT. Biofarma (Sinovac), the age group of 12-17 years can already get the vaccine. The Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) has also granted an emergency use permit (EUA) for the Sinovac vaccine for this age group.
According to the circular of the Indonesian Ministry of Health numbered HK.02.02/I/1727/2021, there is a provision that the COVID-19 vaccine can be given to children aged 12-17 years. One of them is the mechanism of screening and observation after vaccination.
As mentioned, children aged 12-17 will get vaksin Sinovac, Mother. The dose given is 0.5 ml twice with an interval of at least 28 days.
In contrast to vaccinations aged 18 years and over, for children 12-17 there are document requirements that must be met to get the COVID-19 vaccine. What are the conditions?
