Although there are doubts about the time it takes to apply the booster and which group corresponds to the fifth or sixth dose, the Ministry of Health of the Province has called on several groups of people to complete the schemes and boosters of the coronavirus vaccine to avoid a possible next outbreak of the virus due to the increase in cases in most of the country.
Do I have to get vaccinated? How is my vaccination schedule going?
If 4 months have passed since you applied the last dose, it is important that you know that to maintain adequate protection, the Ministry of Health of the Nation recommends the application of a booster dose, giving priority to the indication in the following groups :
- People aged 50 or over? corresponds to applying the first, second reinforcement or third reinforcement.
- People between 18 and 49 years old with conditions at risk: apply the first, second or third reinforcement.
- People 12 years of age and older, with immunocompromised: apply the first, second or third booster.
- Boys and girls from 6 months to 2 years: corresponds to the complete primary regimen (second dose).
- Boys and girls aged 3 to 17: the first booster dose is provided
- Healthcare and strategic personnel regardless of age: it is appropriate to apply the first, second or third reinforcement.
- Individuals who reside or work in closed or extended-stay institutions: Apply first, second, or third reinforcers.
About the fifth and sixth dose
From the province’s health portfolio, they explained that the people who are receiving the sixth dose or third booster are the ones who started the initial schedule with Sinopharm, as these people received an additional dose and then started with the booster schedules.
While the rest of the population who received another vaccine in the first regimen will receive the fifth dose as a third booster.”

- Central Vaccination Centre, Monday to Saturday from 7:30 to 18:30
- Vaccination Center at the Eva Perón Children’s Hospital, Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 20:00
