The incidence of Covid-19 stabilizes, but ICU admissions increase
In Spain, the coronavirus incidence It has entered a stabilization phase, after several days in which slight declines were registered. However, the problem now reaches the hospitals that are beginning to collapse and some have been forced to suspend scheduled activity. In total there are 10,317 people admitted for coronavirus in the plant and the Intensive Care Units begin to fill up.
High-risk communities, that is, with an ICU occupation greater than 25% they are the Community of Madrid, the Balearic Islands and Catalonia. In the latter, the hospital pressure does not stop growing, because on the last day of 12 new admissions, which leaves a figure of hospitalized in ICU close to 600. In high riskOther communities such as Cantabria, Castilla y León, the Basque Country, Navarra, Aragón, La Rioja, the Valencian Community, Ceuta and the Canary Islands would be found.
Most of those hospitalized only have a dose of the vaccine, so the experts warn of the high rate of contagion of the delta variant and the ineffectiveness of half the schedule of the Covid-19 vaccine against it. In addition, another data that worries is the death tolls, since 130 deaths have been recorded.
For all these reasons, today the Interterritorial Council is held, which will address issues such as how to prevent the spread of the virus from increasing and to be able to control it. In the plan is to establish eleven control measures of the coronavirus in seven different areas, three recommendations and one compliance.
