La Paz, BCS (OEM-Informex). This Thursday, August 24, the Ministry of Health announced that in Baja California Sur there are 122 active cases of Covid 19, for which the recommendation to go to get vaccinated is maintained.
The Abdala vaccines are intended for people 18 years of age and over and are being applied in Health Centers throughout the state, either for reinforcement or for people who have not yet been vaccinated. The application of the vaccines is safe, free and it is sought that citizens initiate, complete or reinforce their protection scheme against Covid-19.

In this regard, the state coordinator of the Vaccination program of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Héctor García Hurtado, mentioned that the State Ministry of Health will continue this month with days for the application of vaccines in conjunction with the General Coordination of Vaccination against Covid -19 in the entity, since the vaccine prevents serious forms of disease.
MORE THAN 1 MILLION VACCINES HAVE BEEN APPLIED
He stressed that to date 1,200 doses of the biological have been applied, which has allowed protecting the population from developing forms through the disease, he also mentioned as an additional recommendation the use of face masks in closed places for older adults and people with comorbidities or in crowds, as well as for anyone who presents any respiratory symptoms.
He invited citizens to go to the Health Center closest to their home with official identification, preferably with their printed My Vaccine file (obtained on the portal (mivacuna.salud.gob.mx) and, if applicable, present proof of the previous dose, he recalled that this vaccine is more than 92 percent effective after the application of the three established doses.
In this sense, he explained that the technical guide for the application of the Abdala vaccine contemplates that those who have not started their protection scheme receive the first dose, wait 14 to 28 days to receive the second and then 14 to 28 days to receive the third dose, while the booster can be given six months later, regardless of the vaccine or platform that you had in your scheme.

He added that the vaccines against Covid-19 distributed by the Government of Mexico to the federal entities have shown their effectiveness in reducing the risks of hospitalizations and fatal outcomes, by specifying their call to South Californians 18 years of age and older to start and complete your scheme of protection or reinforcement against this respiratory disease.
