José Luis Alomía, general director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health, reported that 6 million 724 thousand 789 doses of anticovid-19 vaccines in Mexico, of which, only 877 thousand people have the complete scheme, 13 percent of the inoculations.
Just this Saturday 173 thousand 665 doses of vaccines were applied, of the 10 million 823 thousand 845 doses that have arrived in Mexico, of the five vaccine manufacturers, while “next week we will see important shipments,” said the official.
By priority groups, 858 thousand 554 doses have been applied to medical personnel, 72 percent of them already have the two doses, this is 617 thousand 814 workers.
In Campeche, 22,934 doses have been applied to education workers, of which 77 percent –17,626– have already received the second dose.
Meanwhile, in adults over 60 years of age, “the most important group to cover, total more than 5 million vaccinated adults, the totality of this population is less than 15 million, a third part of the group is already covered (with at least one dose) ”, indicated Alomía Zegarra.
There are 5 million 20 thousand 17 first doses applied in this group, of which four percent –187 thousand 844– already have the complete scheme.
Regarding the possible adverse reactions to vaccination, 13 thousand 135 of these cases are reported, 0.2 percent with respect to the doses applied.
Of this number, only 116 Events Supposedly Attributable to Vaccination and Immunization (Esavis) were reported as serious, of which 24 remain hospitalized.
