Covid-19 threatens travel to Strasbourg

Uncertainty hangs over the trip of the Greens to Strasbourg this Sunday. The Greens’ workforce could be hit by an outbreak of Covid 19 cases. The pre-match press conference scheduled for Friday noon was canceled at the last minute. The club does not have enough elements to be sure that the match can take place.

A massacre?

So far there were three players who tested positive: Denis Bouanga, Charles Abi and Zaydou Youssouf. Timothée Kolodziejczak, forfeited him last week in Reims, has since been in solitary confinement. But there the club would face a multitude of cases, if not positive, at least suspect and therefore a cascade of potential contact cases.

As a reminder, the Professional Football League requires that 20 players, including at least one goalkeeper, out of a group of 30, be available to play a match. Tests will therefore be carried out again this Friday at the Robert Herbin sports center.

Threat also on the Derby

We should be fixed quickly on the trip to Strasbourg on Sunday at 3 p.m. but we are already thinking of the derby in 10 days. The LFP imposes a seven-day isolation on a player who tests positive. He must then wait another seven days to resume collective training. The derby against Lyon is scheduled for 10 days on Sunday January 25.
