COVID-19: this is the decree with the new restrictions for Mendoza: Press Government of Mendoza


This is the standard that will be published in the Official bulletin, where the new measures that govern throughout the provincial territory are established from this Tuesday, April 6.

Through decree No. 342 that will be published in the Official bulletin, Governor Rodolfo Suarez establishes the new sanitary measures that govern the entire Province of Mendoza from this Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

Movement of people

The new norm establishes that “the movement of people in the territorial scope of the Province of Mendoza is restricted, between 00:30 and 05:30 each day”.

Social gatherings and events

The new decree indicates that social gatherings and events in spaces set up for such purposes must comply with the following limitations:

  • In outdoor events the number of attendees will be determined at the rate of one person for each square meter of surface, and up to a maximum of 250 people.
  • In events in duly authorized closed spaces, the occupation must be limited to 50% of the authorized factor and with a maximum of 250 people.
  • In both cases, no more than six people per table may be located and the distance of two meters between each table must be respected.
  • The current regulations on social distancing, hygiene and the use of face masks must be respected.
  • For the organization of any type of event not contemplated in this regulation, the prior approval of the Sub-Directorate of Event Control and Recreation Venues, dependent on the Ministry of Security, must be obtained.

Sports events

On this point, the decree mentions that, regardless of the nature of the event, they must comply with the following limitations:

  • The presence of the public may only be authorized in those events that take place outdoors, at the rate of one person for each square meter of surface, and up to a maximum of 250 people.
  • In events to be held in closed spaces, the presence of the public may not be authorized.
  • The current regulations on social distancing, hygiene and the use of face masks must be respected.
  • The provisions of Resolution No. 2810/2020 of the Ministry of Health, Social Development and Sports of the Province must be complied with, as long as they are compatible with the provisions of this decree.

Sanctions

Through this decree, the Governor establishes that the municipalities have the power to control and sanction, concurrently with the Province, compliance with the provisions in each of their respective territorial areas.

In case of duly verified infractions, together with a fine of $ 10,000 to the offender and $ 50,000 to the owner of the premises and / or address, the pertinent complaint must be made in the terms of article 205 of the Penal Code and / or article 119 bis of the Code Provincial offense, as appropriate.
