Covid-19, the virus mutated by Danish mink already transmitted to 214 people. A “bomb” could explode in Italy too

Intensive mink farms in Italy could become Covid-19 bombs. In fact, the virus mutation found in Denmark has already been transmitted to 214 people, so much so that the country has recommended those who live near the farms not to leave their homes.

Lav had denounced the situation a few days ago, claiming that at least 2 outbreaks of virus in mink have exploded in Lombardy, where there are 2 structures in the province of Cremona and 1 in the province of Brescia for a total of almost 40,000 mink. Who – we remember – live in absurd conditions just because someone still wants furs.

But not only: also in slaughterhouses the situation is very heavy: keeping your distance is impossible, and so these furnaces have become absurd not only for the animals, but also for the operators. Already during the first wave 40 meat processing plants had been forced to close, which became, in fact, hotbeds of infection, also in Italy.

However, everything was initially passed over in silence, except that a similar situation in Denmark triggered a real massacre of animals. In fact, 2.5 million mink were killed in 150 farms.

Now the Nordic country confirms that the disease passes to man. And therefore it can certainly happen here too, and no one excludes that the passage from man to man cannot also take place (as of tonight, for safety, the United Kingdom also obliges those who enter the country from Denmark to quarantine).

“Mink variants of the virus have been detected in 214 people between 5,102 fully sequenced samples from week 24 to week 42 – reports the State Serum Institute, a Danish infectious disease center referring to data collected starting from June – This is the period in which a SARS-CoV epidemic occurred -2 among the minks “.

Among the infected, 200 live in the North Jutland region (94%) and during the detection period, 535 samples were sequenced in North Jutland: this means that mink variants were detected in 40% of the samples. The remaining 14 people, found positive outside North Jutland, are part of a sample of 4,568 sequences, corresponding to 0.3%.

We remind you that virus mutations, which occur “without warning”, in addition to being potentially more dangerous, can generate pathogenic organisms so different from not respond to the therapies developed, as well as undermine the research for vaccines and other prevention strategies.

Well, actually bad. Now what do you do? We kill minks here too, assuming it serves, or maybe yes they ban these factories of death and suffering everywhere and forever?
