Update on the health situation in the departments of Aude and Pyrénées-Orientales this Monday, May 3, 2021.
In the Aude, this Monday, May 3, the results have not changed since Saturday, April 30 with 342 deaths to be deplored since the start of the epidemic. The indicators are however in decline with 11 people currently in intensive care, that is to say one person less since Sunday. Finally, 136 Covid patients are hospitalized in the department on Monday against 139 on Sunday (including 56 in SSR and 68 in conventional hospital care).
In the Pyrénées-Orientales, the situation remains critical insofar as the number of patients placed in intensive care remains high. The balance sheet is also developing unfavorably with three more deaths in 24 hours, bringing the number of victims of the epidemic in the department to 295. The “Réa” department of the Perpignan hospital still has 24 Coronavirus patients. Hospitalizations are down slightly with 157 Covid patients on Monday, two less compared to the day before. 52 of them are in SSR and 69 are in conventional care.
