Good news for anyone who thinks that the extreme corona measures that have gone too far should be over: according to experts, Covid-19 is increasingly nothing more or less than a “bad cold.” And as for that Omicron variant, it almost always causes only “mild illness.” In other words, there is really no reason to destroy everything in the name of public health.
A leading expert says the vast majority of people who test positive for the new coronavirus “have a mild illness that is really just very similar to a bad cold.” According to Professor Tim Spector Most Covid patients no longer have the three classic symptoms: cough, fever, and a loss of taste and smell. And, Spector says, research shows that Omicron is no worse than Delta, and that variant was already milder than the original disease that was unleashed on the world.
More than 50 percent of the “sick” are just a little cold. They develop never the well-known three symptoms.
“Basically, what we’re seeing now is that the majority of people who test PCR positive actually have cold-like symptoms and they don’t have the classic triad of sick COVID symptoms of fever, loss of smell and taste, and persistent cough, ” said Spector. “So it has turned into a milder condition that for many people resembles a severe cold.”
Away with all measures
This is great news, of course, because these kinds of mild symptoms mean it’s completely ridiculous to take harsh measures. There is absolutely no need for restrictions, for lockdowns, for mouth caps, for anything. Cold viruses have always been part of life. And there’s nothing wrong with that either. Our immune system can handle that very well. We are not powerless puppets destroyed by every possible virus. A little cough, a little sniffling, and then again.
