Covid-19: The PACA region down slightly but still higher than the rest of the territory

The daily report of Public Health France gave its figures for this Saturday, February 6. In the PACA region, the rate of recorded cases is stabilizing as best it can, but the occupancy rate of intensive care beds peaks at over 90%.

Compared to yesterday, conventional hospitalizations have fallen by 10 patients to 1,086 cases. For comparison, the decrease is more than 500 in ten days. The region’s positivity rate for the last seven days is above the national average. This level is 6.5% in PACA, against 5.5% for the country. And this is exactly like the incidence rate with 232 per 100,000 inhabitants in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. The national level is at 143.

The situation varies according to the departments but is still increasing in the Var, the Bouches-du-Rhône and the Alpes-Maritimes. For comparison the rates are between 5.6% in Bouches-du-Rhône and 10.1% in Hautes-Alpes.
