The Covid-19 epidemic is on the rise again everywhere in France. Especially in the Paris region, where the incidence rate is dangerously close to 400/100 000 inhabitants on March 11, 2021 (latest data to date), enough to let the implementation of local containment hover.
In Brittany, the situation remains less alarming, but the indicators are all starting to rise again. The incidence rate is 121.8 / 100,000 inhabitants in the region. If it is relatively weak in Finistère (67), it is more worrying in the other departments: 124 in Morbihan, 131 in Côtes-d’Armor and 182 in Ille-et-Vilaine.
On the rise in Ille-et-Vilaine and especially in the Rennes metropolitan area
And above all, while it stagnated between mid-February and early March, incidence rate has increased significantly over the past ten days. However, these figures remain below the national average (238), and far from the most affected areas : 487 in Seine-Saint-Denis, 468 in the Alpes-Maritimes or 422 in Pas-de-Calais.
In Ille-et-Vilaine, most of the most populated municipalities (Rennes, Fougères, Bruz, Cesson-Sévigné, Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande, Betton, Chantepie, Dinard, etc.) have an incidence rate greater than 150/100 000. In throughout the Rennes metropolitan area, it reached 234.
While these indicators are closely monitored by the authorities, others are much less in the red, such as hospital blood pressure. 65 people are in intensive care in hospitals in the region out of a total of 175 beds (which can be increased to 324 under the White Plan).
