12h35 – German economy continues to recover in the 3rd quarter, says Bundesbank

The German economy is recovering in the third quarter after suffering the worst contraction since quarterly statistics began to be collected in 1970 due to the pandemic, according to the Bundesbank.

“The German economy is slowly recovering from the sharp decline due to the covid-19 pandemic,” said the Bundesbank in the September monthly bulletin, published today.

Covid-19. Suspended classes at schools in Lisbon and Penedono

At the Basic School of Penedono, in Viseu, classes are suspended after a case of infection with the new coronavirus has been detected. One of the three cooks in the school canteen is infected.

The latest epidemiological bulletin reveals that 13 more people died with Covid-19 in Portugal. It is the highest number of deaths since July 9.
