14h44 – Israel surpasses the thousand dead and ponders new restrictions
The death toll in Israel due to the new coronavirus has already exceeded one thousand and the government is now considering measures to impose restrictions and halt the resurgence of infections.
According to today’s data from the Israeli newspaper Hareetz, Israel has a total of 1,010 dead, three registered in the last 24 hours, in 129,349 cases (413 detected from Friday to today).
After being praised for the way it handled the covid-19 crisis by imposing strict restrictions on people’s movement, Israel reopened the economy in May and infections reached record numbers, with more than 3,000 new cases daily at the peak of the new wave of the disease.
Today the Israeli Government must determine which cities and neighborhoods should return to confinement, which will lead to a ban on entering or leaving the areas concerned and the suspension of face-to-face classes, among other restrictions.–
14h14 – Portugal registers two more deaths and 315 new cases of infection by covid-19
According to the epidemiological bulletin now published, there are 160 cases of people recovered.
There are over 153 active cases in Portugal. There are 15465 active cases to date.
Of the new cases of infection, 124 were registered in Lisbon and the Tagus Valley. 143 cases were recorded in the North.
In total, there are 60,258 cases of covid-19, resulting in 1,840 deaths.
There are nine more people hospitalized in 24 hours (354 in total) and two more people in the Intensive Care Unit (43 in total).

The minimum safety distance between students within a classroom is one meter and students from the fifth year onwards are required to wear a mask. Not just students, but also teachers and non-teaching staff. The exceptions are the practice of physical education and the time of the meal.

The president of the association of public schools admits that it will not be easy to keep the distance of one meter inside the classrooms, but the Directors believe that schools can be safe zones and examples for the country.
