State of play
Circulation in Portugal will be limited this and next weekend starting at 1 pm under the state of emergency, applied to the most affected municipalities. The measure is contested by several sectors, especially trade and restaurants.
Out of these limitations are pharmacies, clinics and offices, veterinarians, establishments selling food with a door to the street up to 200 square meters, gas stations, bakeries and funeral homes.
In a video message, the prime minister calls for compliance with the rules and says that these measures are “a lesser evil”.
