Covid-19: the Ministry of Health warns against a deterioration of the epidemiological situation

The department headed by Khalid Ait Taleb is launching an alert against a probable deterioration in the epidemiological situation.

In a press release published this Tuesday evening, December 14, the ministry warns of the danger of abandoning preventive and precautionary measures against Covid-19, in a context of total relaxation of the population marked by “a change in the evolution of the national epidemiological curve, which was characterized by an increase in cases of contamination in the last two ”.

“The virus is still among us,” insists the Ministry of Health, which also recalls the risks associated with the emergence and spread of the “Omicron” variant in several countries around the world.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection warns against the danger of non-compliance with barrier measures and calls for the need to take all precautions to avoid any epidemiological deterioration.

Thus, in order to preserve the achievements characterized by control of the epidemiological situation, despite the observed increase in the number of cases, the Ministry calls on citizens:

Firstly, the rapid and immediate return to compliance with preventive measures:

– The need to wear the mask correctly

– Frequent hand washing or disinfection

– Avoid unnecessary gatherings and respect the safety distance.

Second to vaccination. Citizens not yet vaccinated or not fully vaccinated are called upon to go to the vaccination centers as quickly as possible to receive the first, second or third booster dose.

Vaccination is considered, at present, as one of the most important recommendations issued by the World Health Organization and the National Scientific Committee, especially in the face of the spread of “Omicron”.
