Two days before the first round of the presidential election for which an exceptional health protocol has been put in place due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the virus is still circulating actively in Yonne, and in Bourgogne Franche-Comté. We take stock of the latest data published, this Friday, April 8, 2022, by the Regional Health Agency in its weekly update.

In Yonne, it went from 1,073 to 1,217 cases per 100,000 inhabitants between March 28 and April 4. At the regional level, the data is slightly higher, with an increase from 1,278 to 1,367 cases per 100,000 inhabitants over the same period.

Among those over 65, the data is also on the rise. In Yonne, the incidence rate for this population stands at 1,003 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, against 780 seven days earlier. Note, since Thursday April 7, French people aged 60 and over are eligible for a new booster dose if they received the previous one at least six months ago.
