Pandemic, the virologist Pregliasco: “Second wave worse than the first”
Professor Fabrizio Pregliasco, guest of Agora broadcast broadcast on Rai 3 spoke about the current epidemiological picture. Of what is called the second wave of the virus. The well-known virologist ofUniversity from Milan he stated that in his opinion this “second wave is worse than the first“. The reason would lie in the fact that today the virus is practically spreading if not quite homogeneously, but certainly very widely. Pregliasco would have noticed him directly seeing him not only in the workplace, but also in private.
According to the professor, the major infection vehicle would be the family context, where the possibilities of contagion increase, indeed multiply. On this point, Pregliasco explains: “In the family, inevitably, the defenses are lowered. Instead, no. Maximum attention must be paid, especially by virtue of the possible presence of asymptomatic subjects“.
Professor Pregliasco focused on the current epidemiological picture. As often represented, the virologist wanted to underline how the pressure in the hospitals is increasing again. However, now it is necessary to keep the calm and have common sense. Even Lombardy, said Pregliasco, would be managing the upsurge much better.
Words that worry, however, those relating to the near future. According to the professor, in fact, the greatest risk will be towards Christmas.

Pandemic and the elderly, the Bergamo chief speaks: “I tell you how to preserve them”
Luca Lorini, head of the Emergency Department of theHospital Pope John of Bergamo, remembers very well the first emergency phase. He, like many of his colleagues, was there, on the front line, to fight the virus in one of the areas most affected by the epidemic.
A milestone reached in July, when the last hospitalized in intensive care, of which Dr. Lorini was enthusiastic, but halfway, because he already knew that this was just a pause. The head physician said, according to Il Corriere della Sera: “In July, I announced that until the vaccine arrived we would continue to live with the virus. A condition that forced us to keep our guard up”.
According to Lorini, the solution is one, to preserve the over 65. The reason lies in the fact that if it is true that the infections are higher than in the first phase, they are not in the least comparable to those of the latter for two reasons.

Primarily because i tampons in March they were carried out only on some subjects, secondly because looking at the data of terapie intensive it is evident that during the first wave, the patients needing hospitalization were almost 10 times more than the current ones.
