COVID-19: the Avalanche stopped until February 11

The National Hockey League (NHL) announced Thursday night that all Colorado Avalanche games scheduled until February 11 will be postponed as players in the roster must submit to COVID-19 protocol.

Jared Bednar’s squad were scheduled to face the Minnesota Wild Thursday night in Denver.

The Avalanche were then scheduled to face the Blues on Saturday and Sunday in St. Louis, and take on the Arizona Coyotes twice next week at home.

The team’s facilities were closed indefinitely.

The New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabers are also at a standstill due to risks from COVID-19.
