Latvian Olympic Committee (LOK) were negative for Covid-19 tests, LOK.
The retest will be performed after ten days, but until then the self-isolation rules will be followed and the work will be done remotely.
It has already been reported that the management of LOK has been in self-isolation and working remotely since Sunday, November 1. From Sunday, LOK President Georgis Tikmers and Secretary General Kārlis Lejnieks will be in self-isolation, as well as Marketing Director Dace Gulbe and Press Secretary Mārtiņš Mālmeisters.
As Malmeisters explained to LETA on Sunday, the LOK management must go in self-isolation for ten days because it has been in contact with a person infected with Covid-19. The contact took place during administrative work, not in contact with any of the representatives of the Latvian sports family.
For this reason, the meeting of the LOK Executive Committee is postponed to 11 November.
