The third Covid-19 test was negative for all participants in the prestigious Tour de France, according to the International Cycling Union (FIA).
True, Covid-19 is infected by the competition director Christian Prudom, who will have to spend the next week in self-isolation. Also, one representative from the Cofidis, AG2R La Mondiale, Ineos Grenadiers and Mitchelton-Scott teams must leave the competition due to positive tests. Latvians Toms Skujiņš and Krists Neilands are also taking part in the prestigious cycling ride, who have been happy to take part in the first nine stages, and on Saturday Skujiņš won the second place in the eighth stage.
The Tour de France, which is rightly considered one of the largest sporting events in the world, is celebrating its 107th anniversary this year.
In total, the French tour is scheduled for 21 stages this year, finishing on September 20 in the Champs Elysées.
