Hanoi (VNA) – With effective control of the COVID-19 outbreak nationwide and high vaccination coverage rate, Vietnam has decided to temporarily suspend mandatory health status reporting for arrivals, and this from April 27 at midnight and at all its border crossings.

The Ministry of Health has proposed to the People’s Committees at the provincial level to order relevant agencies to maintain surveillance of people entering border posts as prescribed by Government Decree No. 89/2018/ND-CP detailing the implementation implementation of certain articles of the Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control Act regarding border medical quarantine.

Localities should update communication materials and present recommendations on the prevention and control of COVID-19 in accordance with the current situation.

The Ministry of Health will continue to update and provide information on the epidemic situation in the world and in the country in order to take appropriate measures. -VNA
