In the past day, 54 new cases of Covid-19 infection have been detected in Latvia and four deaths related to this disease have been registered, according to the information provided by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC).
Last day, one virus-related death was between the ages of 20 and 29, one between the ages of 60 and 69, and two between the ages of 70 and 79.
The two-week cumulative incidence of Covid-19 has increased slightly over the last 24 hours, from 28 to 28.5 cases per 100,000 population. Previously it was 27.9, and it has been at this level for less than a week.
Last day, 7944 Covid-19 examinations were performed in Latvia, while the proportion of positive cases against the tested ones was 0.7%.
To date, a total of 138,238 people have contracted Covid-19 in Latvia, but 2,547 have died.
The calculations of the agency LETA show that in the last 14 days 531 cases of Covid-19 infection have been detected in Latvia, but the rest are considered to be already ill.
