Covid-19: singer Mohand Ouali Kezzar is no longer

Mohand Ouali Kezzar

KABYLIE (TAMURT) – The list of victims of covid-19 continues to grow in the department of Tizi Ouzou. This time, singer Mohand Ouali Kezzar died.

On hearing the dramatic news, the friends of the deceased, especially the artists who had worked with him very closely, could not believe it. They had great difficulty in accepting this bitter reality. Yet it was true. Sad truth. Mohand Ouali Kezzar died yesterday at Lounès-Meghnem Azazga hospital where he was hospitalized after contracting the coronavirus a few days ago. The late one was 63 years old. He is the brother of the writer and translator Améziane Kezzar. Mohand Ouali Kezzar was at the same time singer, poet and writer. He was endowed with a great culture. But despite his exceptional talent, he made the choice to live far from the limelight. He never sought fame despite the recognized artistic abilities he had.

As a reminder, Mohand Ouali Kezzar began his good way in song in the 70s in the ranks of the group Imazighen Imula where he was a musician.
