Covid-19: signs of aggravation to watch out for – LINFO.re

Many people with coronavirus are said to arrive in serious disease because they did not visit health care workers early enough.

“Appearance of breathing difficulties”

After the death of a 16-year-old girl as a result of the coronavirus, in Île-de-France, the Director General of Health wanted to “to alert” people, “especially the youngest subjects”. Reporting on the testimonies of doctors, who say they observe people arriving in serious condition for lack of having consulted earlier, Jérôme Salomon recalled the signs of worsening of the disease which should lead to contacting the Samu.

Professor Salomon explained that there are times when people with mild symptoms find themselves in serious condition after a few days with difficulty breathing. According to him, “it’s quite rare”, but signs of worsening disease should still alert.

“A cough for which it is difficult to return to a normal state”

People potentially suffering from Covid-19 may feel short of breath quickly, “moving furniture, putting away things, preparing food”, said Mr. Salomon. He then called the “adults who may be less attentive to their own health, especially young adults, adults between 40 and 60 ” to be alert to this sign.

He also said that“a cough for which it is difficult to return to a normal state”, should also alert. These signs should prompt people to contact a doctor. Those who are really having trouble breathing should call 15 quickly to “don’t waste time getting to the hospital system”, insists the professor.
