Despite the fact that in recent weeks there has been a significant decrease in the incidence of covid-19 infections in San Luis Potosí, the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and its variants continues to be a risk issue for public health , especially for those who have comorbidities and risk factors that can lead to the development of a serious picture of this disease or even death.
According to official reports, the main risk factors that have been detected throughout the health contingency are related to previous diagnoses of diabetes, being over 60 years of age or not being vaccinated. In this sense, the State Committee for Health Safety has insisted on the need for people who meet these characteristics to redouble all prevention measures.
Likewise, the Health Sector has insisted on the call for citizens to strengthen all prevention measures, especially in those municipalities where there has been a higher incidence of infections, as has happened in the capital of San Luis Potosí, in Soledad de Graciano. Sánchez, Matehuala, Rioverde, Ciudad Valles and Tamazunchale, among others from the different regions of the entity.
