Covid-19: return of confinements in China – LINFO.re

This Monday, October 25, because of a rebound in positive cases of Covid-19, China imposed confinements on tens of thousands of inhabitants in the north of the country.

Canceled events

Besides these confinements, the Chinese authorities have also asked Pekingese to limit their movements, because most contaminations are linked to the movements of a group of tourists, reports in particular Point. TO Beijing, a marathon in which 30,000 runners were to participate, on October 31, has been postponed “so as to prevent the risk of epidemic transmission”, said the organizers. On Sunday October 24, the marathon of Wuhan was supposed to have 26,000 sprinters, but the event was also canceled at the last moment.

A municipal responsible for Beijing advised residents not to travel outside the city, except in exceptional cases, but also not to hold large gatherings. Any individual who arrives at Beijing coming from a region where cases of Covid-19 have been registered, must absolutely test negative.
