COVID-19 Resources –

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We continue to monitor COVID-19 in our community and participate on the Gordon County COVID-19 Task Force. We are hopeful that this school year will be minimally impacted by COVID-19.

We will begin the school year with the following procedures and will revise as needed throughout the school year. Please see our revised procedures below.

  • Student Positive for COVID: minimum 5 days at home from when symptoms start (regardless of vaccination status); recommended mask for an additional 5 days.

  • COVID Close Contact: no quarantining necessary, recommended mask for 5 days.

  • COVID Testing of Student: if symptomatic, student should remain home until test results received.

Monitor for Symptoms:  If your child is running a fever or becomes symptomatic after close contact with someone who tested positive, please keep your child at home and/or seek medical guidance. Children should be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.

  • The COVID positive student: minimum 5 days home from symptom onset (outside of immunization status), mask recommended for additional 5 days at school.

  • COVID Coster Contact: No quarantine needed, mask recommended for 5 days.

  • Student COVID Test: if student, student must remain home until test results are received.

We ask that parents continue to monitor their children for symptoms. If your child develops a fever or becomes symptomatic after close contact with someone who has tested positive, please keep your child home and/or seek medical guidance. Children must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.
